Driving Lessons!

On April 14th,We went to Leinster Driving Campus.It was my first time driving so I was so nervous and excited.

There was three girls per car.Alley and Faith were in the same car as me.Alley went first, I went second and Faith went third.We got 30 minutes each and then near the end we got 10 minutes each.

We then did a practice Theory Test.And also tried out 'Drunk Goggles'.They were goggles that showed us what our eyesight would be like if we were drunk.We had a great laugh,some girls found it very difficult to even pick up a cone!

Easter Holidays!

One more day left in school and then we're off for two weeks!Hallelujah!

Work Experience & St.Patrick's Day

Work Experience:

This is our third placement for work experience.For my third placement I am in Boots.I really enjoy going here every Wednesday.It is my favourite placement out of them all.Everyone is so kind and friendly.                                                                                                                  

It was St.Patrick's Day this week!

SciFest

For Scifest, Molly and I came up with the idea of testing for bacteria on make up brushes.Our project was called 'To Investigate the bacteria on make up brushes'.                                                                                                                            We chose this idea because we always wondered how much  bacteria was on make up brushes and can it cause problems,  eg. Infections (conjunctivitis) or skin irritation/acne.   

We were very happy with the outcome. We got through to       the next round of Scifest in Tallaght IT and we also won         first place in 'Highly Commended'.We can't wait until the         next round and we hope we do well.

Briery Gap Competition

This week we went to the Briery Gap Competition.Our drama was called 'Willow' it was based on William Shakespear and being anti-semetic.

Our play went very well,we don't know who got threw yet but we will have to wait and see.After the play was over we went down the town to get something to eat and we were stopped by a local radio station called 'Classic Hits 4fm'.Alison and I were interviewed about Niall Horan and afterward we got goody bags,it was lots of fun!

Mini Company!

We are very excited and we hope our product sells!

Today,we are selling our mini company prodcuts!We are very excited as this is our second idea as we were left in debt with our last product.Our product is called Ccaf Cups & Candy.
Our prouct is desgined mugs with sweets,hot chocolate etc.
Our mugs are at a cheap resonable price.

Scifest Project!

This week we did the experiment for our scifest project.There are two people in my group,Molly and I.We chose to do a experiment on 'To investigate the level of bacteria on make up brushes'.

We made agar plates and placed them in the fridge for one day and then we took them out and swapped our brushes with cotton buds and wiped them on the agar plates.

We stuck them closed and left them for another day.We went back and opened them and the results were shocking.The eye shadow brush was the worst which wasn't expected.

We decided to test them for a second time just to be sure but this time we did two plates of each.
We have not opened them ones yet we have to wait until next Tuesday to see!
